Privacy Policy

This is a non-binding English translation provided for the convenience of international readers. In the event of any discrepancy, the German original is the legally binding text: Datenschutzerklärung (Deutsch).

This page – the interactive world map of Marches for Life – is a technically independent offering by the Bundesverband Lebensrecht e.V. and is delivered via Cloudflare Pages. In addition to this privacy policy, the specifics of this offering described below in Section 3 (Hosting) and Section 4 (Map display) apply; otherwise, this privacy policy of the Bundesverband Lebensrecht e.V. applies.

1. Privacy at a glance

General notes
The following notes provide a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit our website. Personal data is any data with which you can be personally identified. For detailed information on data protection, please refer to our privacy policy listed below this text.

Data collection on our website
Who is responsible for data collection on this website? Data processing on this website is carried out by the website operator. You can find their contact details in the imprint of this website.

How do we collect your data?
On the one hand, your data is collected by you providing it to us. This may, for example, be data that you enter into a contact form.

Other data is collected automatically by our IT systems when you visit the website. This is primarily technical data (e.g. internet browser, operating system or time of page view). This data is collected automatically as soon as you enter our website.

What do we use your data for?
Some of the data is collected to ensure error-free provision of the website.

Clarification for this map page: This interactive world map performs no analysis of your user behaviour, sets no cookies and contains no contact form. The only data processed are the technically necessary data described in Section 3 (Hosting) and Section 4 (Map display). To the extent that the general formulations above (e.g. regarding contact forms or usage analysis) suggest otherwise, they relate to other offerings of the Bundesverband Lebensrecht e.V., not this page.

What rights do you have regarding your data?
You have the right to receive information about the origin, recipients and purpose of your stored personal data free of charge at any time. You also have the right to demand the correction, blocking or deletion of this data. You can contact us at any time at the address given in the imprint regarding this and other questions on the subject of data protection. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

We point out that data transmission on the internet (e.g. when communicating by email) may have security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

The body responsible for data processing on this website is:

Bundesverband Lebensrecht e. V.
Landgrafenstr. 5
10787 Berlin, Germany

The responsible body is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others decides on the purposes and means of processing personal data (e.g. names, email addresses or similar).

Revocation of your consent to data processing
Many data processing operations are possible only with your express consent. You can revoke any consent you have already given at any time. An informal email message to us is sufficient. The lawfulness of the data processing that took place until revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority
In the event of data protection violations, the data subject has the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. The competent supervisory authority for data protection matters is the State Data Protection Officer of the federal state in which our organisation is based. Right to data portability
You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfilment of a contract handed over to yourself or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another responsible body, this will only take place insofar as it is technically feasible.

SSL or TLS encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or enquiries that you send to us as the operator of the site, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the change in the browser's address bar from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser bar. When SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Information, blocking, deletion
Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of data processing and, if applicable, a right to correction, blocking or deletion of this data. You can contact us at any time at the address given in the imprint regarding this and further questions on the subject of personal data.

Use of contact data published as part of the imprint obligation for sending unsolicited advertising and information material is hereby objected to. The operators of the pages expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited sending of advertising information, for example by spam emails.

3. Data collection on our website

Server log files
The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

Browser type and browser version
Operating system used
Referrer URL
Hostname of the accessing computer
Time of the server request
IP address
This data is not merged with other data sources.

The legal basis for processing is Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. The legitimate interest is the technically error-free, secure and stable provision of the website.

Hosting (Cloudflare Pages)
This site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (Cloudflare Pages). When the site is accessed, Cloudflare processes technically necessary connection data – in particular the IP address – for the secure, stable and high-performance delivery of the content. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR; the legitimate interest is the secure and reliable operation of the website.

4. Map display (OpenFreeMap)

To display the interactive world map, map tiles are loaded from the server tiles.openfreemap.org operated by Hyperknot Software Kft. (Hungary, European Union). In this process, the IP address of your end device is technically transmitted to this server, as this is required to deliver the map tiles to your browser. According to the provider's own statements, IP addresses are not logged by default (only event-related in the case of security incidents for a maximum of 30 days); no cookies are set and no tracking mechanisms are used. No data transfer to a third country outside the EU takes place in this context. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR; the legitimate interest is the appealing and functional display of the worldwide event locations. The provider's privacy policy is available at https://openfreemap.org/privacy/.

No integration of further services
This map page does not integrate any third-party web fonts, analysis or tracking services, or social media services (e.g. Google, Facebook). All program libraries are delivered from the same server as the page itself. No cookies are set. To the extent that the general privacy policy above describes such services, this concerns other offerings of the Bundesverband Lebensrecht e.V., not this map page.
